God’s Word calls us to obediently “tithe” (give 10%) of what He gives us, to do His kingdom work. “Offerings” given to God are gifts above and beyond our tithes. Tithes and offerings are vital to the health of Our Church and provide for all the areas of ministry and outreach.

MINISTRY SPOTLIGHT

WORLD SERVICE FUND

The World Service Fund is one of seven apportioned funds of The United Methodist Church. Basic to the financial program of The United Methodist Church, this vital fund helps to build new churches, prepare clergy and lay leaders, increase the number of young clergy and pay missionary salaries. It also helps to expand Bible studies, provide leadership for youth ministry, continue a proud tradition of cooperation and dialogue with other faith traditions through interdenominational and ecumenical work and express the church’s commitment to God’s reign through advocacy for peace and justice. MCFARLAND SCHOLARSHIP

The McFarland scholarship was established in 1997 in memory of Robert B. McFarland and in honor of Barbara J. McFarland to assist
students who are faithful to Christ with college expenses.  Applicants must be active participants in the ongoing life of a local church.  Applications are accepted each April.
